Eli's Nursery Design
Meet Eli.
Eli is the newest member of our family and he
will be 5 months old next week.
I have been slowly piecing together his nursery
design and here is the final design board.
Some of these things have been purchased, and some we
will be waiting to purchase or paint when we move in six months.
My goal in this space is for it to be peaceful, calming,
and comfortable with classic lines and a few whimsical touches.
I also plan on using this nursery for baby #3 when the time
comes so I want it to be gender neutral.
1. Coronata Star Wallpaper by Osborne and Little- I actually
plan on painting the ceiling like this in our next home
rather than spending the money on wallpaper and
attempting to install it on the ceiling.
2. Baby animal prints by Animal Print Shop- I
absolutely adore these, I want a set of 2 or 4
to hang over the crib.
3. White linen curtains to be purchased
4. Paint color in Natural Twine by Martha Stewart
MSL217
5. Aqua Letter Pillow by Serena and Lily-
obviously with an "E" not an "A"
6. Already owned upholstered rocking chair, with
tan slipcover
7. Already owned PBK Sleigh Crib
8. Dream Big Print by BC Prints on Etsy
9. Owl Book Ends from Z Gallerie- for a whimsy touch
10. Trellis Rug in spa blue from Rugs USA- It has
been purchased, I'm just impatiently awaiting it's arrival
11. Taupe Suzani fabric for the crib skirt- needs to be
ordered and sewn.
12. Already owned PBK Madison changing table

Bookshelf Beauty
I spotted this little bookshelf a while back in my
neighbors trash. Yes I'm trashy like that, I totally
scooped it up and brought it home for a little makeover.
The book situation in our house was getting out of
control and I had been looking for a little bookshelf
for Addyson's room for a while.
Nothing says "take me home" like a perfect sized,
scalloped edged, free bookshelf!
It had this sweet little flower motif painted at the bottom,
but unfortunately it didn't get to stay.
Here it is, painted up and filled with some of our
favorite books and accessories.
Unfortunately it never stays looking this good.
The books are always just thrown in there and
the accessories are always scattered about her room,
but what can you do when you have a three year old?!

Pink and Purple
In just 9 short months (ok maybe that's not THAT short)
we will be moving across the country and
hopefully buying a home.
My 3 year old, Addyson, has already told me that she wants
her new room to be pink and purple.
Of course when she first said that I thought there was no
way I would design her a pink and purple room,
but then I stumbled across this beauty:
This bright lavender paired with coral looks a-maz-ing!
This is my inspiration for the bedroom.
Her room will probably be used as the guest room when
we have visitors so I want it to be girly and fun for her
but also welcoming for guests.
I also found this Amy Butler fabric that I adore,
this will definitely be used in the room,
probably for pillows.
probably for pillows.
And seeing these bangles on JCrew I'm thinking
a little mint added in would be a nice touch.
What do you think?
Can I pull of a well designed pink and purple space?!
We shall see!
